Method
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix gently with your hands until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Roll the mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. You should get about 16-20 meatballs.
- Place the meatballs on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are not touching each other.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and browned on the outside.
- If serving with marinara sauce, warm the sauce in a saucepan while the meatballs are baking. Add the baked meatballs to the warm sauce and simmer for a few minutes to coat.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot with your favorite pasta, in a sandwich, or as an appetizer.
Notes
For a different flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the meatball mixture. You can also use a mix of ground beef and ground pork or turkey.
