Ingredients

For the Steak
  • 2 ribeye steaks Steak about 1-inch thick
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
For the Garlic Butter Zucchini
  • 2 medium Zucchini sliced
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tbsp Fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Tongs

Method

  1. Pat the steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and cook for 3-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness.
  3. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a cutting board for at least 5 minutes.
  4. While the steaks rest, add the butter to the same skillet over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  5. Add the sliced zucchini to the skillet with the garlic butter. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the zucchini is tender-crisp, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Slice the rested steaks against the grain. Serve the steak alongside the garlic butter zucchini. Garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

You can adjust the cooking time for the steak based on your preferred level of doneness. Ensure the skillet is hot before adding the steaks for a good sear.
