Ingredients

For the Steak Bites
  • 1.5 lb Sirloin steak cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
For the Potatoes
  • 1.5 lb Baby potatoes halved or quartered
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper
For Garnish
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley chopped

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Cutting board
  • Knife

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Toss the potatoes with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and pepper on a baking sheet. Roast for 20-25 minutes, or until tender and slightly browned.
  2. While the potatoes are roasting, pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels. Season them with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak cubes in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until browned. Do not overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if necessary.
  4. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant, stirring constantly.
  5. Remove the skillet from the heat. Add the roasted potatoes to the skillet with the steak. Toss to combine.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

You can use other cuts of steak like ribeye or filet mignon. Adjust cooking time based on your desired level of doneness for the steak.
