Method
- In a mixing bowl, gently combine the ground turkey, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Do not overmix.
- Form the mixture into four equal-sized patties, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Grill the turkey burgers for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and are cooked through. Avoid pressing down on the burgers while they cook, as this can squeeze out the juices.
- Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill for the last minute of cooking, if desired.
- Assemble your burgers with your favorite toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, and onion.
Notes
For extra moisture, you can add a tablespoon of mayonnaise or Greek yogurt to the burger mixture. Ensure your ground turkey is not too lean; 93% lean is ideal for juicy burgers.
