Method
- Place chicken breasts or thighs in the slow cooker.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper.
- Pour the BBQ sauce mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker. Stir to coat.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and place it on a cutting board or in a bowl. Use two forks to shred the chicken.
- Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker with the sauce. Stir to combine and let it heat through for about 15 minutes.
- Serve the pulled BBQ chicken on buns with your favorite toppings.
Notes
You can adjust the amount of BBQ sauce to your preference. If the mixture seems too thick, add a little more chicken broth or water.
