Prep Time 5 minutes
Total Time 5 minutes
Servings: 4 servings
Course: Drink
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 4 cups frozen watermelon cubes
  • 1/2 cup water or more, for desired consistency
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey or agave nectar optional, to taste

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Freezer

Method

  1. Place the frozen watermelon cubes, water, and lime juice in a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth and slushy. If the mixture is too thick, add a little more water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.
  3. Taste the slush and add honey or agave nectar if you prefer it sweeter. Blend again briefly to combine.
  4. Pour the watermelon slush into glasses and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, freeze fresh watermelon cubes spread out on a baking sheet before transferring them to a freezer bag. This prevents them from clumping together.
